Camellia sinensis is the famed evergreen shrub from which all true teaswhite, green, oolong, and blackare harvested. Native to East Asia, it combines high ornamental value with functional edible gardening. The tender young spring leaf shoots ("two leaves and a bud") can be harvested and processed at home to create custom white, green, or black tea batches.
