Imoto Fuyu' is a premium, early-ripening heirloom strain of the world-famous Fuyu family. It is a favourite because it produces slightly larger fruit and ripens 7 to 10 days earlier than standard Jiro or Fuyu trees. Like all true Fuyu types, 'Imoto' is entirely non-astringent. You can slice and eat it fresh off the branch while it is still firm and crisp like an apple, or allow it to sit on the counter until it softens into a rich, sweet, cantaloupe-and-nutmeg flavored treat.
