- Tom
Owner/Operator, he's always on the move - you'll most likely find him right in the thick of things near the cashier desk or wherever the customers are hanging out! He's been involved with the business since its establishment on April 7th 1962 (his 7th birthday!). His life and his passion - he still has fun every day he comes to work at Triple Tree.

Dayton -
We caught Tom's eldest son in full raingear working in the field keeping our plants in pristine condition! He's our resident outdoorsman - being an avid hunter and fisherman, he's never afraid to get his hands dirty and haul out a large tree for you with his bare hands! With over 15 years industry experience alongside a horticultural education, he'll give you great advice on trees and shrubs...then he'll help you load them out!!

- Kelly
Store manager - Kelly recently celebrated 30 years of working with Triple Tree! She is our smiley knowledge bank for all our indoor products including Giftware, Pottery, Hydroponics, Fertilizer, Seeds, Tools, etc, etc, etc! She leads an active life and most mornings you might catch her walking to work just after 8am!

Mike -
Our display artist, Mike is the genius behind most of our more impressive greenhouse displays - we caught him trying to make his way through one of his door displays! He keeps things fresh by adding bright colors, new wave designs, and unique product applications to every display. If you like what you see when you walk through our greenhouse, it's likely thanks to Mike!

Having a rough day? Woke up on the wrong side?? Come by Triple Tree and Camille is sure to cheer you up! She's our sparkling ray of sun during our typical Maple Ridge weather... her bouncy attitude keeps everyone (customers as well as staff) smiling! Couple her perky personality with a passion for plants...well, we're pretty stoked to have her on board! During her 5 years with Triple Tree, she has learned the finer details of growing healthy plants and her breadth of knowledge with fertilizers and plant health is outstanding. In her spare time you might see her catch a Canucks game downtown...or blur past the checkered flags at the Mission Raceway!

Since 1987, Mark has been our Fruit Tree Expert, Pruning Expert, Collector Conifer and Japanese Maple Expert...the list goes on and on! Want to talk trees...great; want to talk lawns...no problem; want to go for a beer and talk philosophy, archaeology, history...he'll uplift your spirits with an optimistic perspective on life in general. All the while permeating the link between the earth, the garden, and healthy vibes in your mind and body. If for no other reason, stop by Triple Tree to have a chat with Mark, and gain a new perspective...it'll be worth your while!

- Rylan
Dayton's younger brother likes to think of himself as a Jack-of-all-trades. Here we've caught him designing a new landscape for the display gardens - other times you'll find him at the cashier, loading fertilizer and soils into your car, testing your pond water...or if you don't see him at all, there's a good chance he's trying to keep this website up to date! An avid cyclist, you may have seen him on his commute to work.

Nick -
The muscle of the operation. This tireless young man has been with Triple Tree for nearly 4 years. During this time he has proved to be a quick learner, hard worker, and ardent gardener. He knows his way around our field and its trees and shrubs better than most of our staff! If you're looking for a particular plant or need some information, just ask Nick - in the unlikely event that he's unsure, he'll be happy to learn something new and pass along the knowledge to you!

- Barrie
With nearly 20 years in the garden center industry, Barrie is a wealth of knowledge. Couple that with a lovable personality and smiling face -- we've got a keeper!

Shannon -
Our newest member! Her easy-going attitude alongside a great work ethic has made her an easy fit in our tight-knit group. Perhaps it's because she's still going to school, but she's a very fast learner...what she hasn't already learned in the first few months she is likely to know by the time Spring comes around!!

What did he do today? The impossible. He'll take on any challenge we throw his way and come out on top! During the 6 years that Nathan has been working with us, he's become the resident carpenter, plumber, deliveryman, and go-to guy for all the jobs that usually require contract work. Whether it's in the greenhouse with annuals, perennials, and bulbs, out in the field with trees, shrubs, roses, and fruit trees, or in the pond shop with filters, pumps, and fish - he's an expert. An avid sports fan, when he's not watching the Canucks or Whitecaps FC, he's probably out on the pitch himself staying fit and releasing his energy on the soccer field.

- Rianna
Former western regional visual supervisor for Dylex. Rianna now focuses her energy as a freelance home and business decorator/designer.
It's amazing watching her work -- you'd think she spends half the time considering how to achieve her stunning design feats; yet she's always on the move: moving, lifting, drilling, placing, plugging-in...and in no time at all Triple Tree is shiny and new! She sets us apart and provides our customers with terrific interior design inspiration and an aesthically pleasing shopping experience!

Brent - Ahh Brently...he came to us in the heat of the Spring -- at the peak of our busy season. He swept in and helped us maintain great customer service at a time when our man-hours were being sorely taxed. His soft-spoken and easy going personality makes him a great team player -- he'll jump right in wherever he's needed without a question or a grumble...he's there for you with a smile!
- Carma Triple Tree's triple threat! Carma is a medical lab assistant by day (the closest thing we have to a doctor...), she's a Triple Tree cashier and tropical expert on her evenings and weekends, and she's recently taken up the cello by night!!! She's certainly not afraid of taking on new challenges, and we're thrilled to have her talent working with us!
TJ (Tom Smejkal) - Pond pro and rose guru, Tom has a horticultural degree to boot. Over 20 years at Triple Tree has set him as a cornerstone of the business...his work is evident wherever you find yourself in our store; whether it's the bedding plants in the greenhouse that he's delivered and displayed from around the lower mainland, the tidy outdoor acre of trees and shrubs that he spends countless hours cleaning, the impressive variety of roses that he orders and cares for, or the pond shop that he's managed and cultivated over the years. During his "down" time, if he's not out designing or landscaping, he's probably cruising down white-water or checking out the coastal islands in his kayak. Did I mention he's a die-hard Canucks fan...he's starting to remind me of the "Fedex Guy" -- what doesn't he do??

We caught Petra doing what she's done for a quarter century with Triple Tree -- researching, learning, and honing her plant knowledge! Not sure if it's a diamond in the rough...or a weed? Engage the "Encyclopedia Petrannica" and you're sure to find an answer!!
As perennial proctor, she is to thank for the impressive variety, fresh quality, and savvy setup of our perennial plants. Nevertheless, she certainly doesn't limit her energy and knowledge to perennials...if it's in the greenhouse, it's on her radar. Whether it's wood, wire, or cement products, annuals and bedding plants, herbs and veggies, or hanging baskets and container gardening, Petra's office knows no bounds!

With a background in growing, Alix has a great breadth of knowledge in professional gardening that ranges from plant species to fertilizer formula and application. Her smiling face has been with Triple Tree for over 25 years; during this time she's taken on a managerial position that includes purchasing our plastic decor pots and wire products. If you swing by in the fall and don't see her around, there's a good chance she's traveling the Oregon Coast enjoying the sights offered by our gorgeous Pacific West Coast.
